Barrhead Gala Day 1986.
Another successful Gala Day was held in Barrhead's Cowan Park on Saturday 7th June 1986 which attracted large crowds despite the overcast day. The Float parade along Cross Arthurlie Street and Main Street started off the day and in the park the pub pram race, bonnie baby competition, Craigie Race and various sports activities entertained the patrons. The day was rounded off with the pipe band parade and presentation of trophies. Pictures by Stephen Mansfield.
